PRENEAL Group has a staff of 25 and indirectly employs over 100 other team members. We also provide the highest level of training to ensure optimal wind-farm operation and maintenance.
JORGE MEGÍAS CARRIÓN
General Manager
Jorge has vast hands-on experience in the development, management and running of the day-to-day operations of renewable energy projects. He joined PRENEAL in 2001 and is currently acting as chief executive officer. He has been playing an important role in developing the company’s international wind energy projects in Mexico, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria, and Croatia. He also has experience as Chief Design Engineer for the construction and start-up of thermal power plants.
He holds an MBA from the renowned IESE (Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa) and studied industrial engineering with a concentration in mechanics at Madrid’s Polytechnic University.
IGNACIO MARTÍNEZ DE VELASCO
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Ignacio has extensive experience in financial management. He joined PRENEAL in 2001. Prior to this, he was CFO for Grupo de Empresas Radiotronica de Chile, a large firm specialising in telecommunications and construction and maintenance of gas, water and electric utilities.
He studied economics with a concentration in business administration at Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He started his career in 1984 with the international auditing firm BDO. From 1987 to 1995, he worked for three, Madrid-based companies, as director of administration and finance for the engineering firm Group Eptisa and CFO for both Sergesa S.A. and Voith Iberica, a German manufacturing company.
CÉSAR HERNÁNDEZ CHICO
Chief Operating Officer
César has been with PRENEAL since 2002. He worked in Argentina as general manager and international technical operator for three large electric utility providers, Edesal, Edelar and Edesa. Then he worked in Spain for Union Electrica Fenosa, one of the largest power companies where he was responsible for the construction of power plants. He also managed electrical grid operations (system operator).
He holds a PhD in industrial engineering from ETSII (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industrials) in Valladolid, and a Masters in Business Administration from the internationally-renowned Instituto de Empresa (IE Business School) in Madrid.
